Pavement Tools Consortium

The Pavement Tools Consortium (PTC) is a partnership between several state DOTs, the FHWA, and the University of Washington to further develop and use computer-based pavement tools. The major focus of the pavement tools is the enhancement of pavement-related training and construction operations. The Consortium will be funded via a Pooled Fund arrangement and managed by the Washington State Department of Transportation and the Maryland State Highway Administration. The solicitation has been posted on the FHWA web site at: http://www.pooledfund.org/projectdetails.asp?id=794&status=1

The PTC was initiated by the UW team, but would not have been possible without the efforts of both the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the Maryland State Highway Administration in getting the consortium off the ground. Specific thanks go to Keith Anderson from WSDOT, the original coordinator of the consortium.
